Meet our Staff

Pastor

Pastor Durwood Perry has been pastor for 18 years at New Hope First Baptist. He has been a pastor for 44 years. His pastorates include churches in Georgia, North Carolina, and South Carolina. He graduated from Reinhardt College with A.A., LaGrange College with B.A., and Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary with his Master of Divinity. He and his wife of 43 years, Anne Weatherby Perry have three grown children and three granddaughters.

Minister of Music

Rick Bowen has been Minister of Music at New Hope for over 20 years.

He and his wife, Melinda are wonderful assets to the ministry of our church.

Rick has an enthusiastic spirit and a passion in serving our Lord Jesus.
